February is for Spicy Rockfish lovers
Thanks to the state of Virginia for letting us borrow that tagline✌️
It’s here!
We are so excited to share this collaboration with Secret Aardvark hot sauce with all of our fish friends. Enjoy 10% off on single tins for the rest of the month (you get an extra day this year!) with code KEEPITSPICY .
Speaking of the state of Virginia…
Have you spotted us at The Fresh Market yet?!
You can find our Chorizo Spiced Mussels and Octopus with Lemon & Dill in all locations. Tell your friends, friends of friends, even your frenemies will do, to snag a tin at their local The Fresh Market grocery store. We need all the support from our fish-loving fans to make sure we secure a spot on those grocery store shelves.
Recipe of the month is featuring the newest addition to the fish club - Spicy Jamaican Jerk Rockfish. Pop open a tin and make this quick and easy snack and forget it’s still winter.
Mango & Spicy Rockfish Salsa:
makes about 1 pint
1 ripe mango, diced
1 small tomato, diced
3 green onions, sliced thin
1 tin Spicy Jamaican Jerk Rockfish
6 sprigs cilantro
2 sprigs mint
Your favorite tortilla chips
In a bowl, mix the mango, tomato, and green onions. Add the tin of rockfish, juice and all. Flake apart the rockfish as much as you like with a fork and continue to mix the salsa until all the ingredients are equally dispersed.
Top with cilantro and mint leaves.
We’ll be posting a quick and easy video of this recipe on our Instagram feed.
This year has been off to a wild start and I feel incredibly grateful to be busy at a generally 'not-so-busy' time of the year. As we continue to grow and spread our mission of bringing more PNW local and truly sustainable fish to as many people as we can, Tiny Fish Co. has arrived at a place where we need to increase our production volume. We are exploring a few different financing options to reach our production volume goal for this year. If you or anyone you know shares an interest in domestic, sustainable seafood and is interested in investing, please send them my way sara@thetinyfishco.com. Which tin should I do a recipe with next? xx, Sara
